Marble furniture enhance the aura and aesthetic of any room in your house or a public space. Whether in your kitchen, dining room, living room or office, the natural beauty of a marble tabletop offers an unmatched elegance and timeless appeal. It is renowned for its elegant and luxurious appearance, with unique veining patterns.

But like other types of high-end furniture constructed of wood, chrome or metal, your marble furniture requires proper care and protection to preserve its allure. To preserve the beauty and extend the lifespan of your marble tabletop, consider the following regular and consistent practices.

Properties of Artifort marble
Marble is a natural stone, with colour and texture varying from piece to piece. Therefore, the top of your table will always differ slightly in colour and pattern from a sample or showroom model. Marble is a relatively soft material compared to other stones like granite and it is porous, which means it can absorb liquids and is susceptible to staining. To make this naturally sourced stone easier to maintain, Artifort treats the top with an impregnating agent that provides a protective layer for its porous structure.
Nevertheless, even with the impregnating layer, marble can still absorb liquids and is susceptible to staining if not proporly sealed.

Care instructions
• Gently absorb and lift liquid spills from the surface using a soft, absorbent cloth or paper towel, without rubbing or wiping. This technique helps to prevent the liquid from spreading and minimizes the risk of staining or damaging the surface.
• Apply a water base marble sealant which can be applied easily with a cloth or a small paint brush.
• Polish your surface with a clean soft cloth or buffer until it is dry and has a smooth, shiny finish. This process typically involves rubbing the surface in a circular motion to remove any moisture and enhance the natural luster of the material.
• Clean surfaces with warm water or marble cleaner (no acidic or abrasive cleaners!)
• Use coasters under your drinks.
• Use protective pads under heavy ornaments/accessories (vases, candle holders, etc).
• Use placemats under plates below hot dishes.

Warning: Marble care - Do not
• Do not place liquids directly on the surface (wine, orange juice, etc). It will cause stains.
• Do not apply acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon spray).
• Do not apply abrasive cleaners, powders or cremes.
• Do not sit, stand or place a heavy weight on a marble table top.
• Do not cut food directly on a marble table top.
• Do not place heavy ornaments/accessories on the table without protective pads.
• Do not place hot beverages or dishes (tea, coffee, meals) on the table without using a protective coaster.
