The finish determines the appearance of your table or cupboard. Depending on the model, the application and the appearance, you can choose between laminate, veneer, or paint.
Laminate
Laminate is a hard, synthetic finish that is glued to the under-surface to create a scratchproof table top. This finish is colourfast. Laminate is ideal for use in public spaces and is available in various plain colours and wood-effect prints.
Veneer
Veneer is a natural product. It imparts a warm, natural look to your table or cupboard. Veneer has therefore all the properties of wood. Depending on the sort of wood, the finish may be harder or softer. There may also be a variety of grain and colour in the same sort of wood. If the finish is to be reordered, the colour and grain may differ.
In the course of time, a veneer finish can develop a used look. Sunlight will change the colour of the veneer. And small scratches will result from use. This is inherent in the material and contributes to its charm. Veneer is very sensible for heat, so be carefull with hot fluids and always use a coaster when serving hot drinks.
Standard our veneer is lacquered, but since 2013 it is also possible to have oak veneer finished with oil. More details you'll find below.
Solid oak or oak veneer treated with a coloured oil lends the product an entirely different appearance. We have picked out five standard colours for you.
